With the launch of the new website and app, De Koperen Ploeg is taking a major step towards the digitization of the nautical services. Multiple services, such as the "launch service" and "barge service", can be requested online 24/7 via the app.
De Koperen Ploeg 2.0
The application will be processed immediately at the touch of a button. De Koperen Ploeg therefore calls for the mobile app to be used as much as possible. The app provides faster processing, but also offers the user useful tools. The mobile application has a "boarding button" that navigates the user to the nearest boarding point via Google Maps, for example. It is also easier to keep up to date with the developments surrounding the nautical service providers via the app. It is still possible to fill in the online form via the website.

The online tool of De Koperen Ploeg is also useful now because of the current corona crisis. The development of the application was started by software developer Newssupply before the current crisis, but according to chairman Michael Schotte the launch came at the right time. Previously, a lot of work was done with paper contracts and these papers had to be handed over in person. The app not only removes the paperwork, but also ensures that there is as little (unnecessary) contact with external parties as possible during these times. The safety of both staff and crew or other external parties can be guaranteed much more through the app.
